New template

This form can be used to create a new object template or object type.

Options:

• Copy object template - type part of the template name or object type name and select the object template according to which you want to get a set of properties and values.

  • ... - or select the object template in the object tree.
  tip

  To edit the object type name or icon, use the Edit object type button after selecting the object template in the field.

• Default template - enable if this is to be the default object type template. Only one default template can be selected and it plays its role especially when importing objects.

• Create new object type - enable if you want to create a new object type.

  • Object type name - enter the unique name of the object type (e.g. Printer, Monitor etc.)

  • Icon - select an object type icon or create a new one

  • Computer - enable if it is a computer type. This will cause a change in behavior in some places, especially related to software management.
